Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear to class?

Loose, comfortable clothing and trainers which will allow your foot to flex.

Do I need to bring water?

Yes a bottle of drinking water is advisable it is important to keep hydrated. We will take occasional breaks in class in order to re-hydrate so it is a good idea to bring your own bottle. Due to COVID-19, we must advise you bring your own.

Do I need a mat?

A mat isn't required for Zumba Gold classes but we do use them for floor work in FLexercise classes. I do always ensure I have spare ones, however in light of COVID -19 I would advise bringing your own. However, if you prefer not to go down onto the floor I have modified those particular exercises in order for you to be in a chair instead.

How much are the classes?

All classes are only £6 per session on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Do the classes run all year?

I work on a term time basis only at present

Do I need to book in to do a class?

No, we have a very relaxed approach in which my participants come to whichever class suits without needing to pre-book. I run three Zumba Gold classes each week in three different venues and at different times. Depending upon your diary and your commitments, pop into whichever one is most convenient.

Equally, within the FLexercise classes, there are three each week to choose between.

Is there a minimum or maximum age?

No, although most participants tend to be over 50 as all classes are low impact movement to music classes which seems to best suit those in the 50+ bracket.
