Come and join us in a fun and friendly session set within a welcoming environment, designed to promote exercise and socialising in equal measure. Low impact exercise to music; improve posture; mobilise joints; strengthen muscles; improve coordination; relax and have fun!
To try it for yourself and to begin developing your flexibility and mobility, come along with an exercise mat to any of our weekly sessions: (term time only)
The FLexercise system is derived from WLHB (Women’s League of Health and Beauty) which was established in 1930 by visionary Mary Bagot Stack.
It is therefore a proven exercise formula which is accessible to All.
It is based on great physical exercise, yoga and movement.
FLexercise helps to improve posture, balance, strength and increase energy levels.
If you want a Class that develops you in a fun and friendly environment, this is a perfect class for you.
FLexercise, ‘flexible, friendly fitness!’
When and Where Is
You can find our FLexercise classes at St George's Church Hall, Wilton, Taunton TA1 3JT.
Close to the town centre, near Vivary Park. There is a small car park available at the Hall but many members use the Vivary Car Park as it's so convenient.
I joined Nikki Mumby’s FLexercise class in September 2016, having had a hip replacement in May. It has been one of the best things I have ever done. Right from the start it was the greatest fun and everyone was so friendly. Nikki chooses uplifting music and her choreography is always gentle and full of fun. Each person can adapt it to their own needs and age or ability doesn’t matter. It also helps emotionally and mentally . We all dance, laugh, have fun and come away feeling much better. It is also very social and we have coffee mornings raising money for Charities, meet up for meals in the holidays and have a magnificent Christmas lunch out. The classes are a MUST for anyone who wishes to have fun, make friends as well as keeping fit.
"I am finding FLexercise very helpful with my balance as I have M.S.
Nikki makes the classes fun but informative and you don't realise how hard you are working until afterwards!
If I miss a class I really notice a difference in my mobility."
Our Seated Class
If you are recovering from an illness or injury or have restricted mobility then our seated class on a Thursday may just be the one for you.
